The Quarrel Times, the most irregular community newsletter provided by Quarrel members for Quarrel members. Quarrel Times may publish several issues per day to not even one issue a month. Content found in this paper are entirely targeted at NO ONE. Any resemblances to any existing people, characters or things are absolutely intentional and totally not coincidental. Our aim is to provide the most crappiest news for worthless purposes. If you find it entertaining, please feel free to pass this free copy around.

Forum upgrade

Quarrel.net has finally upgraded to vBulletin 3.5.1, the latest vBulletin release. The shop, money, and other hacks has still not been released for 3.5 so they are currently disabled.

New Skin

In additional to the forum upgrade, there is also a new skin. Some people say they liked the old skin better, others say they like this one better. Probably skylight chose this skin since it matches with gaming and anime forum.

OtakuLive.com Merged with Quarrel.net

Well, skylight merged OtakuLive with Quarrel, since he didn't have time for both forums. In the announcement for this,the explanation was:
"I always only visit quarrel.net and forgot about OtakuLive forum so i intend to integrate that anime forum into here.
One of the advantages of integrating Otakulive into here is that quarrel.net forum will be at least 3 - 4 times more active especially the Chit Chat and anime section."

Merging

Most people really liked this merge, since it is now a bigger forum, and a lot more active. We just have to wait about 2-3 weeks to see what happens.

How will the moderators deal with all the new people?

It will be tough. Most of the Quarrel.net moderators don't know most people from OtakuLive.com. This will be a tough work for all the moderators, since they will all have to remain active on the forum, getting to know each other and controlling every spam and "unknown" members.

Have you ever thought of this? The day Google crashes. Well then you'll just have to use AltaVista, as BamBam says:
"I doubt people would care that much. AltaVista is the best search engine in the world anyway." Is that true?

DEYAP QUIT!

Apparently it is the truth. Mdawg, a Quarrel member, couldn't find him on the MediWar players list. Most people were really proud of this. Maybe skylight deleted his account from MediWar for the use of autobuyers, multi accounts, and other types of cheats, or he just quited.

MediWar revamp

skylight is currently working on a new version of mediwar, with new layout, better coding, etc. Some of the new coded stuff are:

New MediWar version will be released few MediYears later, no estimated release date yet. It is now 12% done as of 21st Nov 2005.
 

How will this make MediWar better?

Probably most of the people leaving Mediwar is because of the same layout, the same thing over and over again. With this new layout and recoded pages will surely attracts new people to Mediwar.

BackyardBoxin Dying

One of the games on Quarrel network, BackyardBoxin is apparently dying. Most people don't play the game anymore, and the section for it on Quarrel is one of the most unactive sections on the forum. What will happen to BackyardBoxin? Will it be removed, or revamped, just like Mediwar?

Tachu's guide for new OtakuLive members on Quarrel

 

  • Just be normal as you were in OtakuLive, post normally
  • If you see some arguments and insults between mdawg, BamBam, and me, just ignore us, that's the way we have fun.
  • If BamBam starts correcting your grammar, ignore him again, he just likes good grammar.
  • Strongly recommended: Do NOT spam and make idiotic posts, such as "lol", "yea rite" or stuff like that, cause spammers here are dealt with seriously. All spam posts will be moved to spam section.
  • Very good moderators here that are like always looking for the best for Quarrel, and try to keep everything under control are Zelor_X and TheUnforgiven1. All of the mods do this, but Zelor and TU1 are like experts in it... lol.
