Of unrequited love, the usual
Figured I'd show the stuff I write in the bus on my way back from university... Feel free to comment:
Unskilful dancer:
Dazed by the graceful dance of your lips,
The thought of joining the dance slips,
Regrettably I am no trained dancer,
The thought of missing a step wavers.
However, it is a saddening dance,
A frantic mechanical trance,
Are you truly happy?
Or are you lying to me?
Listen to your heart when he calls to you,
He’s the only one, whom speaks true,
And no matter what you do,
Don’t let fear do the talking for you.
I would seize your hand,
Dance with you and try to understand,
I’m aware I don’t know how to dance,
But please give me this one chance.
Follow me to the dancing floor,
We will waltz to your favourite score,
And I will hold you when you are worn out.
You can rest safely in my arms, without a doubt.
Listen to your heart when he calls to you,
He’s the only one, whom speaks true,
And no matter what you do,
Don’t let fear do the talking for you.
If you teach me your dance
I will teach you my romance
Is this not a fair trade?
There is no need to be afraid.
