Away from You
Laying alone at night with your mind wandering and waiting anxiously for a call.
Knowing that just hearing the voice on the other end,
Will bring emotions that nobody else will understand.
With all the laughing, crying, and everything else in beetween,
Then before you know it, it's time to say goodbye.
When the call is over your back to were you left off,
Laying alone at night with your mind wandering and wishing,
To be near the one that you hold dear.
You close your eyes trying to hold it in,
A tear which slowly trickles down your cheek,
Hoping that once you reopened them,
A smile would be there to greet you.
While love can decay with time and distance,
Love can also grow with leaps and bounds,
Cause some things never fully cherished,
Until they are taken away from you.
I have finally realized this until now,
I'm proud that you mean so much to me.
With this my love I wish you goodnight,
And pray that angels watch over you while I am away.
