I am Love
Love is like a spell that binds so deep,
When all you see is her in your absent sleep.
Love was like a breeze, it flowed gently into my life,
Never did I ignore it, because it made me feel alive.
You wish to be her tears, her smile, her frown,
You wish to be her pillar, her chair, her crown.
Love to me is a poison, one of the sweetest,
The more I struggle, the stronger I feel it.
Love was that ache in my heart, like a piercing sword,
Serenading me with fantasies, my only true reward.
For many moments in her long absence,
You long for a second of her pure presence.
Love has made me the poet that I am,
For against its waters, I frequently swam.
For love, we shall always "fall",
But is the "rise" really there at all?
