Dreamer
A dreamer has to be despised upon
as he gapes at the forever sky
in hopes of his destiny dropping like rain
to lead him to a greater life
full of women, money and fame.

A dreamer can be tricked
and thus has to be despised upon
as he is confounded and confused
and in hopes of catching up to his goal
he destroys and attacks without knowing.

A dreamer is an idealist
and has to be despised upon
he wants peace, yet would not stop
for a second thought
when he starts a war.

A dreamer is fearful
and has to be despised upon
becuase of his insecurity
he tends to be random
and will not succumb to order.

A dreamer is blind
and has to be despised upon
he runs without knowing
his bearing and ends up
where he had not meant to be going.

A dreamer is a human
and has to be despised upon
as he is imperfect in thought
spends his days gazing at the stars
and on all life, he is a permanent scar.

I like some of the connotations of the poerm, and at least it steers away from being a steaming pile of emo bullshit.
