Hi everyone, athletes and not so much...
I was wandering, what is the standard time for running 100 meters? How many seconds? And what is the record? I searched the internet, but couldnt find anything...

It really depends. I play basketball and they make me dash a lot! I'd say about 3.2 - 4 secs.

The world record is 9.88 I think.

Even if you were jacked on steroids and on hyperdrive, you wouldn't reach 3 seconds for 100m.

That would mean 33m per second.

as i remember it is under 9 seconds it is about 8 something but i will check out in some sites for atheltics.

Nope. It's 9.77

I think even with steroids, the fastest man will ever reach is 9.5 seconds.

yea i used to run 100m in meets alot and i think the average was somewhere around 11-12 seconds (on the amateur level...)..and the fastest in the world is along the lines of 9.8s
