PS3

What do you guys know about PlayStation 3?

Well, it looks like the PS3 will lead over the next-gen consoles, Sony just have way more experience than Microsoft in the gaming industry, and to be honest I didn't think the game cube matched up to the PS2 and doubt the next gen Nintendo will match up to the PS3 either.

Well, I don't know much officially about the PS3, other than it will be backwards compatible. I have also seen plenty of concept pics of the PS3 - everything from a futristic fish-tank like to a toaster. It will be interesting to see what all the next generation of consoles look like.

Because the Ps3 is backwards compatible, you can't put better technology into it or so I heard. I think ps3 will do good cause to many ppl hate microsoft and won't buy their products :P

To be fairly honest i don't know why they put backwards play into the PS2.

If you really need to play a PS1, it's fairly easy to swap a scart etc and play it on a ps1.

I think that was a "selling pitch" for young kids with parents saying "You've got all those games though, why do you need a PS2"

IMHO thats quite stupid. I personally dont like some of M$'s policies and the way they work but Im sure not gonna put a good product down just because its made by M$. I played Age Of Empires... Why? It was a good RTS. I use a M$ optical mouse... Why? Becuase it was the best mouse on the market. I use MSN messenger... Why? Because its one of the two most thought of messengers on the net with some good features like multy-user messaging and webcam support. Being a PC user I think Id buy an xbox over a ps any day... I only have faith in Sega.
