I am in Full IB. The only advantage you get there is that it will be easier to get into universities. But on the other side, all ur marks will drop by about 10% at first, so u gotta work hard. And you also have to take a second language. Different schools offer diff. languages. Well, i wasnt taught in canadian regular program for long (just half a year), so i dont really know the difference. English is quite challenging for me though. The teacher gives me 60s and 65s, he explained himself by saying that my written language doesnt make sense sometimes. But he didnt know i lived most of my life in russia till i told him.
So, if u can take ib, i think u should. Unless u really want to take a course that doesnt fit ib schedule. And, regular russian schools are way harder than canadian ib.
EDIT:
And by the way. I got a friend who chose ap over ib. Because its said that its easier in ap. But now, his is actually failing a few of his classes. Maybe he just got lazy. But i know i am lasier than him and his marks were higher than mine before.
For more detail on ap and ib its better to google it and find the official website.
