Does it count that we are already in college?
Then again, I did not want to go to this college, but it was the one I could afford. I had to leave the one I used to be at, due to cost (it was Private). And I never got enough finances to go to Dartsmouth, which I was accepted at (many moons ago).

Thus, if you can afford to, I hope you get into (and get to stay in) the college of your choice.

On the other hand, do you have any questions about what college is really like? Or how you should prepare?

The college I go to sucks. This semester I haven't been able to get into any of the courses I need because of "holds" on my record...which it turns out was just because their electronic billing system screwed up. So now I've basically wasted thousands of dollars on this semester because of their mistake. So yeah...before choosing a college be sure to talk to people there and make sure its not a crappy place like that.

there is no really 'best' college, just the one that is best for you. some of those ivy league colleges simply carry a name but if you talk to someone form another college who studied the same subject, they might be able to talk to you, not simply at you. go somewhere where you feel comfortable, then it is ok since it wont be misery (especially when the loans start piling up)

yes one of the variables in choosing school is campus life and how happy students are with the school. stanford ranked 2nd in both categories which makes it my top pick.
