Complain All You Want
I can't believe that the mayor and the chancellor agreed on a city-wide ban on cell phones and "unecessary" electronics in school and the law was passed. I can understand why that iPods, MP3 players, PSP's, and other entertainment devices are not allowed in school. They always have been not recommended to bring to school anyway. But cellphones? Okay, so students have been cheating on tests using them, but they should understand that cell phones are important when it comes to emergencies and etc. The school has always been on a hush-note basis; if they don't ring in class the teachers won't say anything.
On the day when students heard that the school installed metal detectors and will confiscate the electronics. Many students were hestiant about entering the building. Some left, and some hid their cellphones in their shoes.

i see... so i mean a student ofcourse has life threatening emergencies on a day to day basis. The schools equipped w/ phone lines in case u are in a health hazard. There are pay phones that will cost you less rather than your $25+ monthly plan. My school allows phones, ipods etc. we have them in class during work time and stuff. But no one is stupid enough to turn on thier cell phones during class. And if you really are worried about emergenices- thinkk about how your parents handled them when cell phones were non-existant. geez, ppl in telecommunications are making a lotta money off kids...

Re: Complain All You Want
well then leave your phone in your car, and if your not driving a car, then your probably riding the bus and in that case you wont need a cell phone, and if your walking home, you probably live close enough to school that you wouldnt need it, unless your going somewhere, then if thats the case, come home and get your phone then go out. Not having a cell phone to talk to your girlfriend or boyfriend on the bus about how cute your shoes are, or how your girlfriend is so hot, is no reason to complain. Come back when your school bans the color red, bans sun glasses, bans exposed tattoos like mine, bans junk food from vending machines like mine as well.
