Personally, I liked both but I like the series more because there were more storylines in it and more characters like Aoshi, Saito, Hiko.

i like the series better much more compose and more action scenes than the OVA.

They both have their place. But I liked the OVA. More blood, more realistic, more things mattered. Not as much people with superninjadragonballZpowers.

The tv series wasnt as dark as the OVA's and had more humor in it. Actually i dont think thwere was much humor in the ovas at all.

i really detest the ova for some reason.....maybe its really dark or something, and kenshin seems so weird in the ova
