was he really demented or he just acted like it. he could have just gone and killed kenshin yet he send all of he's men to fight him one at a time to defeat him but they all were defeded yet all he could have done is gone an tryed to killed him but i guess motoko shishio understimated someone that believe in someone fighting and not killing your opponent. he was the greatest because of the fact when people fought him and lost it was the samurai respect to say something like you work for me! or get lost and never get infront of me. but kenshin beat shishio with shishio's own streanth. "killing" and "killing to be the strongest"

I don't know... but seeing as how like 90+% of his body was burned, he should have died (there is 0% of survival for that kind of burns in modern medicine, his kidneys would have gave out the next day) So, since he is alive, I assume he must be so because he is wacked in some ways.... besides, if he had no sweat glands, he would act like a dog constantly, haahahahhaha.... so for weird people like that, anything is possible

Kenshin would have lost.. didnt kenshin revive from the dead or something to kill shishio?

he gathered energy from nature i tink hmm well sishio can only fight for 20 min so he probaly was hoping that one of the jupungatana would kill kenshin

Kenshin was acutally surpassing his limits at that time by raising his fighting spirit.

When you think about it it was a miracle that shishio was still alive...so probably knew he couldnt fight for long and was hoping that one of his men would finsh him off.

i think motoko shishio was a really interesting character. his personality is expected after experience those events (being burnt, used) so i think that it was really cool watching him fight kenshin. you can blame him for the way he has ended up.
