Who is more powerful - Kenshin or Makoto Shisho?

Nah, fights with all previous opponents wouldn't have made a difference. None of them came close to Shisho. Probably the training prior to the fight that Kenshin had did it. Besides, Kenshin isn't Shisho's first ever opponent you know, lol...he had many previous battle as well...

Shishio hadn't fought two others in a row before fighting Kenshin. He was rested and waiting. Sojirou and Aoshi not anywhere near Shishio's level? I'm not certain about that. They were definitely strong enough to injure Kenshin before he defeated them.

The truth is, we will never know who was the better swordsman because Shishio had the 15-minute-limit and Kenshin was hurt and exhausted when they finally fought. Show me a healthy Kenshin against a Shishio who can fight till he drops, then I'll make a comparison.

I have to say Shishio. The skill in swordhandling is about the same, but as pointed out earlier, having a hard time limit made Shishio a much more efficient fighter. Having Kenshin tired [after fighting for a long time with Aoshi] made the playing field much more even. Kenshin does not have piles of stamina. Shishio does, even if he is limited by the quick overheating. That's why Shishio does not fight to exhaustion, he has all the power he needs to finish an opponent off quickly every time, while Kenshin does not.

I will agree that Shishio has more stamina. He probably developed it to compensate for his 15 minute time limit.

it is definitely Makoto Shisho, because he could of really killed Kenshin but keep playing around with him so his time kind of ran out so he lost to Kenshin with his Ultimate finishing move

It's certaintly kenshin , reason being, you must consider the many battles he had to fight before meeting shisho, that really took alot out of him,his ultimate technique was used 2 times and in order to be effective he must be at full strength. and he use it 3 times ,if he had just fought shisho alone consider how kenshin's effective strength would of been. annd to end it after all that kenshin was stronger due to the support of his friends shisho alone had none just pets he called them . on the base line hiten mitsurugi teachings are far more powerful than that of shisho's . something shisho could not understand was to see though the paper thin margin between life and death,unlike shisho he just thinks that weak is food for the strong
