Rurouni Kenshin is awesome because it is one of the few animes that can mix action very well with comedy and romance...it kinda reminds me of another great anime series...Trigun.

Agree. You get a well balanced series, with a great story. Loved the OVAs, but the series was really funny at times. Too bad the animation isn't as great the whole time...but the comedy makes up for it!
