Simply, as she picks the pebble, she would not show it, then trip and fall, like women of her time would "stereotypically" do, and drop the pebble. probabilty of picking black pebble from bag = 0.5
prob of picking a pebble = 1
BUT! if she didnt choose a pebble neither would happen
