A new riddle

Okie, I don't know if anyone posted this riddle somewhere. And it's kinda likes a joke than a riddle. Anyway, here it goes:

There is a tiger and a man in a room, the tiger was tied in the left corner of the room and the man was tied in the right corner of the room. Before the tiger, there is a candle, and when the candle melt down, it will burn the rope and release the tiger, and surely, the tiger will eat the man if it's released.

So how can the man prevent the tiger from eating him?

Wait, what do you mean by

maybe the rope is run thru the middle of the candle....

Yeah, the rope is run through the middle of the candle and it'll release the tiger for sure. And the man is far away from the tiger to blow the candle.
