Want to learn the one of the most used languages on the web. This language is a very popular one at the moment. Very interesting and handy also.

Currently im familiar with it but not very skilled.

Why is PHP important?

(Actually, I program in C# and PHP at work, I'm asking this quesiton to elicit intelligent answers. I know what' s important about PHP).

it gives your sight a little more taste

do you even know what php is? it does not give taste to your site, it all depends how you make it. PHP is like the best language, it has tons of features, functions, etc... only bad thing its that its just a little hard to learn.

PHP hard to learn? not at all.. if you'r in programming you will now that
PHP is preety easy.
as for the question, why php?
open source
datebase method very easy, yet very good. simple to do, yet very useful.
can be used to a lot of things.. not just web-sites..
the most beautiful thing about it.. that php is not like any other thing
it will show, only what you know. not more then that.. not less.
if you are a pro' then you will have something good.. and so..
you can't just copy-past commands.. you need to build them.
unlike many other Programming Languages, that you just do what that has been told to you..

Agreed. I picked up PHP in about a month, I knew/know the basics of C++ so that helped. I came from ASP.NET and found that PHP is a lot easier, there are functions for just about everything you need and it's light weight.

I'm learnin php and just messin around with differet things trying to teach myself but often find myself stuck its not usually a big problem just novice errors anyone who is willing to maybe help me out a little would you please add me to your msn hillbilly-shop@hotmail.com so that when i do get stcuk i could just politely ask you and you help me if you not busy thanks
