Fave Type of music

I like everything except opera. I've actually taken the time to listen to them all too, not just like 'oh I'll put up with it' or anything, but actually listened to it a lot. I always end up going back to country after a while, though. I put that as my favorite since I listen to it the most. Oh yeah, and some people would call modern country (ie: Garth Brooks and later) pop music, but I like both the new and the old (ie: Jonny Cash, Charlie Daniels Band). Recently I've been listening to Irish music online though. Anyways, wasn't there already a thread on this? -Ian

ok, first off I'd like to point out that I never said that I hate rap.

Secondly, you said that stuff a while back about how eminem, 50 cent were not "real" rappers. Well, I've heard people say that Mike Shinoda's raps aren't "real" raps either. It's all a matter of opinion, stop trying to force your opinion on others, it doesn't work.

yes, their are alot more, but the reason these ones are considered "real" rappers is because they are original. eminem and 50 cent are examples of people who try to make this new age "trendy" pop shit. its terrible.

what kind of a stupid song was "my name is"? it has some scrawny pale white bleach blonde haired guy, whining on a mic saying "Hi, my name is" for a good solid 4 minutes (probably). thats not a song. thats shit. even toy soldiers, he didnt even make that song, and he ruined it completly. toy soldiers was considered a great song by many, then eminem made his version about some friend he had a "beef" with. it was originally about drug effects.

here, ill make a list of songs you should listen to, you'll see what i mean:

N.W.A - Straight Outta Compton
N.W.A - F*ck The Police
Tupac - Brenda's Got A Baby
Tupac - Dear Mama

and the bad ones:
Chingy - Right Thurr
50 Cent - Wanksta (probably the most annoying and stupid songs ive ever heard)
50 Cent - P.I.M.P (almost as bad as wanksta)
Eminem - I'm Sorry Mama (probably for being such a pussy)

and if you can find the name of the song that has the fat ass black guy who looks like a bobble head screaming his head off everywhere, add that one too.

you will HOPEFULLY see the difference. and HOPEFULLY you will stop trying to force your OWN opinion, especially where it doesnt matter.

i'm not really into rap, but sometimes it's kinda funny, so it's true that it doesn't really matter, but you won't change my opinion with a post like that...

now now now, i think your mistaken only ONE of thier 2 singers is rap, and he only "raps" through part of the song in half the songs. Half you listeing to the lyrics....? they are something I can relate to and I hate rap, its not about how it sounds... I hate the lyrics and stuff in rap songs, and sometimes I hate the way it sounds. I dunno I just hate alot of rap, linkin park is kinda outside "rap" its a little differant if you see that or not
