Well I certainly can't

but I would do absolutely anything to play a musical instrument. Just hearing classical music makes me sooo happy and gives me more energy (sounds weird ne?? :laugh: ) I would especially like to play the piano or the violin, I find them both very beautiful instruments (heck all instruments are beautiful, but I like those more).

Is it true that playing a musical instrument makes you more intelligent? :laugh:

I've played the flute for a few years, though it really doesn't make you smarter, it helps you concentrate better, like memorizing sheet music, you get better memorization skills. So if you have bad study habits, I would say take up an instrument!

i've tried playing guitar for a few years...but i am still in beginner stage...

... anyway... i didnt really practise during my free time...hehe

I never learned to read music as a child, so I never really learned to play an instrument. I tried playing the guitar as an adult, but I'm just not that interested, I guess.

I'm thinking I might be more of a bass player anyway.

I got a Disney book of notes for a recorder and played that for a while. It was fun.

Well, I've always wanted to play the piano, and I learnt a few simple tunes on the saxophone during my school years in the band (quit after 2 months, I wanted to learn the drums but they had enough drum players). I also own a harmonica, and can play it pretty well (self-taught), if that counts

Hi,
today 27 july 05, and I'm new here. see a Thread about " Can you play a musical instrument???" and so i pop in and have a look, i love musical instrument too, and i love flute, love the sound it make. But i tall and have a longer hand(haha). so teacher want me to use Trombone(make good use of my hand).

Good in 1 way, but bad in another. bad thing is until not i still have not got the time to learn flute, good thing is, i did make a good Trombone player, i was the first Trombone player(mean the player that play all the high notes in Trombone).

anyway that a long time ago, now i still wish to learn flute and maybe piano
