well the thin being it has awesum fight sequences and also awesum animation touchup done..... but the thing being the story is not so strong and it is made a wayy bit gory n also sorta exaggerated....but on the whole i found it an awesum one  |

This movie was great, saw it in the theaters then I downloaded it, so I dont have to pay 10.50$ to watch a movie again.

The movie totally rocks!!! It's a solid story, although Queen Gorgo's character lacks a certain depth. But I'll save my comparison comments proper for later once I've managed to peruse the actual graphic novel by Frank Miller. The movie really makes it fun to die for something. Made me go hunt for my father's ancient publication on Greek mythologies.
Surprising fact is that historians concur that the Spartan force actually DID number 300. However, according to the movie, ONLY the Spartans stayed behind, but in truth a fair number of Greeks were present too at the last stand (about 700 Thespians led by Demophilus, if I recall correctly). The only bit I thought was taken too liberally was the Oracle, which in actual history had a different message but in hexameter.
Watched it in the cinema once, now awaiting the release of the bootleg DVD9 version. It'll be sweet...

Yes, go for it, kurapica!!! Worth every penny watching it the first time.
Take note, machival, this is not gal movie, unless she likes graphic scenes of violent mutilation/dismemberment of body parts (or if she hasn't watched it before). And if she's the sensitive type, she could just

luv this movie, I'm a watch it again 2night, , man love the internet, mwahahahahhahahahahahaha,
they actually did a good job on the story line for this movie, I liked it more then the other movies that came out. |
