Re: lamest movie ever
I'd say the top contenders (that I've seen) are...
Dungeons and Dragons
Mortal Kombat: Annihilation
The Crow 2
Battlefield Earth
Anything with "Earnest" in the title
Which of those is the worst, I don't know, and trying to determine which by watching them all would destroy my soul.
For what it's worth, Mike Nelson (the guy from Mystery Science Theater 3000, and thus probably the world's leading expert on terrible movies) said that the lamest movie ever was Star Wars I: The Phantom Menace. All that time, all that hype, all those production costs, and what do we get? A lot of boring political talk, midichlorians, and Jar-Jar Binks.
Edit: While Kung Pow was pretty lame, the first 20 minutes or so were brilliant. "Master Pain! It is a great honor to have you beating random people in our town!" And the scene where they zoom in on the faces of the Chosen One and the guy in the kendo outfit over and over and over again is undoubtedly the greatest scene in cinematic history.
