i liked it though it would have helped if i finished the game first, the animation was pretty good too, at least for all the movies i've seen like that. (which really isn't that many)

I've seen both the Japanese and English(i.e. the dubbed version) one.
Although the dubbing isn't bad compared to many other ones I've seen, I'd still highly recommend to anyone that they should watch it in Japanese to get the full experience.

i liked the movie.. my friend didnt understand any part of it cuz he didnt play the game.. i feel sorry for him

Funny... I got a few people who've never even played a Final Fantasy game to watch it and they understood it ok(thanks to the introduction that explains everything!)

i quite disagree with what jon16_2k3 had said.

Without playing final fantasy 7, most of my friends who watch this ova said this ova is thrilling.

the graphics is good too but they do not know much of the content.

I like the Movie and i still hope they bring a Remake ok FF7 (The Game).
