anyone watch indie movies?
As u know, independent art films are usually of great quality & have a wide a variety of thought-provoking topics in serious depth, and often are winners in Sundance film festivals along with high ratings at Rottentomatoes.com, unlike conventional & predictable action movies in the normal theaters. Too bad they are not shown on a wide-spread basis when they are such memorable movies.
I recently saw Capote, it was such a long movie, slow start; it's about a gay-looking novelist who befriends a death-sentenced prisoner to get his story. The gay guy is so annoying and I'm sure you'll grow to hate him with a passion, but then the ending is superb, the whole theater was quietly in shock for 30 secs! I still remember that scene after 3 weeks! Highly recommend you to go watch this movie!
So what are your favorite indie films? Mine are Winged Migration, Whale Rider, Shaolin Soccer & Kungfu Hustle, Crash, Control Room, Farenheit 911, Supersize me, March of the Penguins, etc...
