Changing Race

Now when reading peoples strategies I have heard countless times: 'And i change my race on the blah blah day of the round' They say it as if its easy to do, but as far as I can see changing your race constitutes using 99 Black tickets or erasing your account. The latter is not beneficial and the former is not easy to do. So can anyone elaborate on how people manage to implement there strategy of race changing, so easily into the game??? :s

At this late stage of the game, it DOES cost 99 black tickets

In the early stages of each Medi year, changing your race costs gold - which gets progressively higher as each day passes until after day 10 when it then costs black tickets. That's why most people who change race do so on day 10
