its sad that alex row, dio, luciola die in the end and we never know who claus en ds up with or if sophia does get together with vincent. I would have liked to see alex row still alive and dio as well but he died in the grand stream . Dio was one of my fav characters bcz he was like a villain at the intro gone good n very playful. i dont like open endings... ie. cowboy bebop (sadistic.) DID they ever show how mullin ends up staying alive? bcz in the end credits him and dunya have kids etc.

mullin and Dunya does get together, but the kids are dunya's siblings; not thier childrens as predicted.

and yeah, its an open ending, but it nice and heartwarming...tho i like it better if alex get with the empress.

I hate open endings like that, especialy when there's romance involved. It's like it was a waste of time to watch the entire series.

Agreed. I hate that.
Especially when its been a tense relationship that draws out for episodes on end. And then no true conclusion.

Of course, perhaps the Manga goes differently. And they leave the anime open so that you will go out and purchase the Manga for more answers.

Last exile's ending was abrupt imo. Wasnt as itneresting but the artwork was amazing

Not sure, but I think it leaves room for a fan-fiction ending of how you want to end it. Sure it is a unsatisfying and a cop-out. But People would've been angry if he ended up with Either romance.... and if he really can't decide, then NEITHER girl is for him. But it wasn't about girls... it was about war, and airships, and rich and poor.... you can't expect them to finish completely every story plot in 26 episodes... cuz that is what movies are for.

the writers really like to mess with people there is alot of heedden stuff, and btw rules of anime are if you dont see them die there not officialy dead dio is lying in his vanship at 12 min of the last episode and you can hear his voice later in the silvana engine room he yell asending or w.e i dint like the ending but it dint piss me off as much as the elfen lied ending did

I don't like the ending. Me I want to know what really happened to them. I mean who married who, and ended up with you, then what happen to the snowy place and the other side? the wind?
