Inuyasha acts really tough and cold hearted, but he's a real softie inside. He wants to collect all of the Skikon No Tama shards so he can become a full demon.
I think his most dominant trait is loyalty. I think he love Kagome but still feels some obligation to Kikyo because he's so loyal. He's the kind of person who would shoulder all the burden by himself and not want to share the responsibilty with anyone. He is alos hopelessly naive when it come to anything to do with love and the concept of flirting completly evades him. he has a good heart. He's completly reckless and at times somewhat selfish - although he gets better as the series progresses. Kagome is one of the first people he ever opened up to (including Kikyo) (remember Kagome was the first person he ever let see him in his human form...). His greatest fear (according to one episode) was the fear of being alone again - which he denies - since his has a huge amount of dignity and loathes admitting any weakness. His sworn enemy is Naraku and his rival is Koga of the wolf demon tribe. The only family he has left is his half brother Seshomaru who despite outwardly hating him - has been known to help him out on occasion. he wields the Tetsusaiga - his father's demon sword which was reforged with his own fang after it broke. Aside from Kagome - he is the only one to be able to pass through the well and into Kagome's time. He is extremely defensive of Kagome and obviously loves her. Originally he wanted the sacred jewel to become a full demon but we have seen him begin to doubt if thats what he really wants since his demon blood awoke and he lost control of himself. There that about sums it up. All in all he's got a good heart and a strong spirit.
