Hikaru no Go?
I know Hikaru no Go is not that popular, but for those of you who have seen it, what do you think about it? Does watching it make you want to learn how to play Go? It did for me, hehe, so I started playing it and Im trying to get my friends into it too
btw, sorry if this topic has already been posted, I just didn't want to check all the topics...

Re: Hikaru no Go?
well i played go before i read the manga, but i love it, though the anime is kinda wierd cause both akira and the main char. have girl voices and they sound like girls unlike naruto or something like that, plus sai looked like a woman.

Re: Hikaru no Go?
Hikaru no Go is a very interesting anime, although i did read the manga first and it does explain alot of the go moves better that might help if you find the game confusing, I myself don't play because i dont have time but Go seems like a very interesting and strategical game!

Re: Hikaru no Go?
I used to watch it on my satellite system and there was always this "Learn to Play Go!" program right after it. I got really interested in the game and tried to buy a set myself, but it's pretty rare in stores here. So I got a set from my grandma It's a really interesting game, although it takes far too much time for one game

Re: Hikaru no Go?
well i think it is quite popular, many people watched it, i also try to learn go after watching but i'm not good, though people might not learn go because of this anime, it touches many people's heart, this is amazing cause even if people don't know go, they liked the anime. when i first watched it, i don't know any go, but i still find it very interesting and touching.

Re: Hikaru no Go?
i think one of the purpose of Hikaru no Go is trying to let young generation to be aware that there is such a strategy game call Go.
Every end of the episode, it will show some simple moves and strategy of the game. Usually after someone watch Hikaru no Go, they will try to play it
My gf after watching... always have the sudden interest to play it in yahoo games http://games.yahoo.com/go
