well i'm just curious with other people's opinion about this couple. some people consider that they are not a offical couple, since they act more like close friends. but i think they are an offical couple since they always together.

so what is your opinion?

ya ive watch gundam seed/destiny and they are a couple........they both care about each other......

Definately a couple.

Which is so damn rare in the genre (usually the guy only gets the girl at the end...or she is blown into little tiny bits..whichever comes firsT)...that some simply do not believe its happened.

It is one of the reasons I enjoyed 'Destiny'. They didn't throw any soap opera meladrama between the two. As a matter of fact they should a strong relationship (Called a 'Vital' relationship in sociology) where Kira had to accept letting Lacus go alone to accomplish something important to her. It shows that even after you 'get the girl', life is hard enough as it is rather then needing to 'fall in love' again and again as a plotline.

Letting the other person be an individual is incredibly hard in today's societies (Heck, only 12.5% of married couples have this relationship. The other types are: Total, Conflict-Habituated, DeVitalized, and passive-cogenial. And trust me, you don't want to be in the last 3, even though they avoid divorce)

Well i dunno about "officially" Cuz if if i can remmber from Gundam seed to Destiny, i dun recall Kira or lacus sayin "Ashiteru" or any other word tht hv those same meaning. BUT lacus seems owez around kira. Not to mention she once enganged with Athrun... 4 sum reason, the engengement was not going well ( i wonder if tht becoz of Kira).

Anyway, in GSD, in the episode where kira received the news about lacus ship is under atack, the 1 who IMMEDIATELY FLEW FROM EARTH TO SPACE and save her is none other than himselft. There was a scene also later in tht episode where both lacus and kira hugged tightly and say " i miss you alot" . Tht wus the first time kira is introduced to his new mobile suit.. Strike Freedom. Not to mention, episode before tht be4 lacus go to space, kira desprately tryin to persuade lacus to let him come along becuz he worried for her. So... we can safely assume tht they are couple.

well, i can still stomach GSeed, but the appearence of certain someone in GSD made me throw up.

kira and lacus is no issue as far as i know, the real issue is do athrun and dat orb princess be together or not

They seem to be close to each other but animes are always indifferent about relationships so it's pretty ambiguous.

Kira x Lacus is an offical couple which is evidently in the special of GSD where at the ending of that shows Lacus leaning her head on Kira shoulders as they both walked away together.
