Default PLZ HELP!!!!!!!

hi, i've recently encountered a HUGE string of problems with my computer, i recently bought a new powersupply with 620 watts, after i bought this, problems began, at first, the computer ran smoothly. suddenly my computer experienced lots of self-restarting, and in one occasion, overheating, when it overheated, i waited and closed my computer, after a couple hours, it still wouldnt turn on, and when it DID turn on it had a problem detecting the ide drive during start-up, mainly my 2 hard drives. then i painstakingly took off all the internal wires and reput them over a series of times, after such i turned it on yet again, and then it says that it the harddrives have a problem loading during startup, and after i reput the wires yet AGAIN it says bootup fail and needs system disk then to press enter, i insert the system disk and press enter and my computer goes to a blank black screen with a little typing line( the one that tells you where you will be typing ) along with the words boot up fail need system disk. my computer doenst go on to the desktop anymore, rather its ALWAYS stuck on the load up(start-up) screen, and so im stuck using a generation-old computer that i kept for years, if any engineers out there that wouldnt mind helping me out, plz respond!!!!

-also if anyone knows how to fix a ps2 with a mod chip plz pm me(notsure if this is the right topic to post this because there are no ps2 topics), the problem with it is that i have copied games, it used to work because i had a mod chip but recently, i reseted it and it went completely haywire, it not only takes FOREVER to load the game but when i load a save file, it freezes and goes into a blank screen. plz help!!!!

i have NOTHING to play with and all i can do for now is try to find a solution , if all else fails i have to take it to a computer engineer or something, if anyone can help me save a couple of bucks, it would be VERY helpful

I smell a burnt harddisk......Most probably everything that is inside ur comp shorted out or had been destroyed when your comp overheated....I suspect that everything close to the powersupply is dead........Your motherboard will most probably be burnt to hell also......At least that is from what I concur from your timeline of events.......Reccomendation is to send it to a professional or if ur looking for a cheap alternative is to buy a new one.......Or rebuild ur pc from scratch

And abt the modchip......I dunno...I nvr dealt with that kinda thing b4......Cant help you there.......

The computer not enough information to give you a remedy. But more than likely your powersupply isn't compatable with your mother board. Or when you were putting in the new powersupply you left out a cable to you prosessor fan, or something of that nature. But who knows.

the ps2 is kinda broken already. So just open it up take out the mod chip. The go online and buy a swap disk to play your games. Only cost about 20 - 30 bucks.

just buy a cheap drive. Set the new hard drive as master and the old one as slave install an OS on the new drive and if your hard drive isn't fubar you will have access to everything.

and if your harddrive is messed you more than likely you just shorted out its electical system. you can just take out the sectors of the drive and put them in another drive but that is alot of work and harder to do than it sounds.

ok my friend had similar problems does ur harddrive make any noises during start up? most specifically a clicking sound, if so then ur harddrive is gone, try to hook it up to another system and c if it will detect it, if it doesnt get detected then the harddrive is to blame, if u cant access it at all and u need to retrieve sumthing off the drive then take it to a professional to retrieve it for u, but if u dont need anything then dont bother becuz data retrieval can b expensive
