i think she got raped during the war.......because when she was proetcting the kids, the soldier came to her and beat her up..... and probaly.. she could get raped

I think she picked the baby up somewhere? Or Dante gave it to her? The baby did act as a transmutation array.

It could just be a baby she picked up that was abandonned in the war or whose parents were killed. I mean did a year really go by from the time in episode one until the end (9 months + the baby isn't a newborn: its at least a month + she wouldn't have been raped right away either) - Ed only had his B-day once(excluding the flashback) so if it was hers it would be pretty close timewise.
