Is it good?

Is full metal alchemist good? I heard from many friends that it is really good, but then again, when i see like...that robotish guy, i feel that its another one of those "gundam" kinda animes...

FMA is areally good serie and about that robotish stuff al is like a living knights armour and ed have auromail in his right arm and left leg and thats it. Its not anything related to gundam.

There's no gundamisness involved in any way. The series is based in a 1900 ish technology era. They are however extremely advanced with replacement body parts for some odd reason. It is a good series and I would definately reccomend watching it.

It's about alchemy, not science fiction and mechs. The arm is an advanced prosthetic called automail. As for the guy in armor, that's a person whose soul has been bound to a suit of armor. This is a great series (I also suggest the manga, which diverges from the anime about chapter/epsiode 30. The manga is still going, by the way).
