Who wants(/can) to justify LIGHT's actions?

In the series, he does go to some extreme where it makes you feel that he indeed is dangerous and should be put away. Although if you had the death note in your hands wouldn't you want to kill those criminals who you think doesn't deserve to live in the same world as us. I know I would do the same thing as what Light is doing. I mean the punishment is not severe enough, a couple of years in jail and their back out again to hurt someone else. If I was making the rules I would sent anyone who did a crime that hurt others to a death sentence.

Well, Light definitely did some awful things, but in a way, even though I can’t approve to what he did, I can understand him. Not only his world but also ours, is full of nasty things happening. All I have to do is turn on the TV and see the news. Anybody would try to make the world a better place, according to their beliefs, if such a great power fell in their hands. I also believe that his good will and intention changed after obtaining the Shinigami’s power. This happens everyday with people who get rich overnight. They forget everything end everybody.

no matter what everyone would try the deathnote anyway and why not use it to kill bad people and make the world a better place of coarse light was a tad deranged but he went mad with power and ultimately its ryuuks fault anyway

Light's actions, again, cannot be justified. They can only be rationalized.

In his eyes, he is doing what he must do. In the eyes of others, however, he is doing something horrifically evil.

i must say that on a way light is really worth rooting for, but because of the fact that he is a murdere and a total maniac there is only one thing left to say... Its good that he died.. but even though he was a killer he still made the world a safer place... just too bad that that world was run by fear...
