The Werewolf Game - Signups -
Months ago I tried doing this game here, but nobody was interested. Now I've returned after being gone for 5 months and I'll give this thing one more try.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Here are the rules: The game is played in two phases, Night and Day. 1/4 of the players are werewolves, chosen at random. They know who each other are. Every night they PM the host (me) and tell them who they want to kill. That person dies that night. The next morning, the humans wake up with their dead friend and try to figure out who the werewolves are through interesting forum conversation. They cast a vote on who to lynch, and that person gets lynched. Whether or not they were a wolf or a human, no one knows until the end of the game.
Votes can be changed during the daytime until everyone has voted and there is a 50% majority vote. If you fail to vote, you get a Phantom Vote against you at every lynching after that. Needless to say, too many Phantom Votes makes it a lot easier for you to be gotten rid of. Get a phantom and you have one vote on you at the start of the next day, making you easier to lynch.
The humans have another tool - a "Seer". During the night, the seer has a revelation about a particular player. The seer privately informs the PM the name of 1 person they want information on, and the host informs them if they are a werewolf or human or a different special human role. This is a powerful tool, but if the seer makes it obvious who he is, he's going to get wolfed.
There's also one more special role, a Guardian who can protect someone from the wolves. The guardian PMs the game host (me) with the name of the person they want to protect. If the person is the same as the one the wolves pick to kill that night, their kill is unsuccessful.
Needless to say, if you're dead, you're out. You can't post anymore in the game topic. Some last words are allright in a farewell post, as long as they don't relate to the game itself (no revealing your suspicions, etc.)
The humans win if they successfully lynch all the wolves. The wolves win if they whittle down the number of humans to the point where they're even, at which point the wolves can murder them all without fear of retribution.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Those are the rules. I will be glad to answer any questions you might have too.
Now on to the signups, 16 players. With a 16 player game, we will have 3 wolves, 1 Seer, 1 Guardian and 11 Humans.
Signups start now, and end when we have a total of 16 players. Note, that you cannot quit the game once you have signed up. You must play the whole game through, which could take a few weeks to complete the game.
Some words of advice for the humans, it is ALWAYS best to start up a chat on the game to discuss your suspicions with each other, this helps others with who they will decide to vote for. Chats should always be held on AIM.

A few months isn't really a while ago.
Well, The Guardian doesn't know who the Seer is. And the Seer doesn't know who the Guardian is until he/she chooses to see that persons role. Plus it's not always best for the Guardian to only Guard the Seer. You would want to guard normal humans too. You shouldn't even announce that you're the Seer to ANYONE. Keep your roles secret. If you say you're the Seer, and actually are the Seer, some people might think you're bluffing and are actually a wolf. Then they'll try to lynch you.

Re: The Werewolf Game - Signups -
This game isn't played on any other forum. We play the game here. You also don't have to play the game perfectly through me. You get on AIM and start or go to the TWG chat and discuss your suspicions. Then you post what you've learned and your suspicions on this forum, in a new topic that I'll make after we have our 16 people.
I'll be there in the chats to answer questions during the game too.
