Time is not a constant, it is possible to go forward in time, but not backward, that is why there are no disturbances, think about it, the fastest u can go is the speed of light, images of what is happening are projected at all times by everything and fling out at the speed of light, ex: when you look at a star what u are seeing already happened and the images are old, it takes time for the images to reach us.
Now if you manage to flow at the speed of light, you would not be able to go backwards in time, EG pass up those pictures of what is happening, because you are traveling at the same speed. Also this explains what Einstein said about time slowing down as you approach the speed of light, because the images would be barely passing you, so if you were too look back at earth traveling close to the speed of light, things would be moving very slow. However, if you were to look at a star and see the images that are 5 days old, and travel at the speed of light towards that star, the images would be coming at you faster than if you were sanding still, thus time would be speeding up.

true but my idea is to go back in time you would have to reach minus mph which is impossible . i also belive that black holes could be like a time warp aswell which would be interesting but like you said there have been no disturbances so perhaps not. but if there has been disturbances would the governments let us know?

as time co-ensides with the speed of light, and the speed of light is always slowing down, therefore time is always slowing down.

Human intelligence is too primative to even start calculations on wether to go forward in time, and yes you can go back in time if you rotate at a high velocity on the opposite rotatation of the earth..... nothin is even near proved though

Skull that last one was just stupid? Rotate at a high velocity? Cmon that would do nothing but get u dizzy.
However Benny Brought up a good point. I had totally forgotten about wormholes. I started a different thread about that to keep this one just about time travel.
However wormholes probably dont have anything to do with time.
Also etheyrke, the speed of light has always been the same.

You can't reach minus speed so you can't go back. It's a shame really, I'd love to make up with my girl :P Now I know what's coming!

Wormholes...what are they exactly? Could anybody explain.
