There's nothing like going through every single page. It's true that computers are an useful tool, but they will never replace the escence of books.

i half agree and half dont. books are a part of history that we cant get back it=f theyre gone. on the other hand i think e-books are pretty convenient

Ugh I hate reading on the net,I never last long enough and it's so much more fun to be able to hold something while you enter it's world...books rule !!!

lets see.. books require no AC or batteries in order to be used, are lighter than most laptops (depends on whether you like reading dictionaries), you can man-handle and even drop them with little worry as to the consequence or whether parts will come flying off and the time it takes you to read something has been proven to help you learn.. rather than most of the eye candy which just stimulates your senses and then you move on...

... but... what would I do without all my friends that live in my PC and come to life when my screen pops into life??...LOL

main difference between books and computers... reading multible 7 to 800 page books on your pc might make you go blind. Lesson learned... books will never be replaced by the pc

It is such a pity when somebody says that books suck. I think it is sad. Books are beautiful and I can't image a day without reading even a paragraph. I also love computers and computer games, but I try to divide my time into everything what I enjoy.

I don't think you can just say books are not neccessary anymore.

You see, the Internet might be a quicker way to find information and you can read stories etc too.

But I like reading a book much more than reading something on computer, if it's a story or something like that.
Besides, information in good books are much more reliable than information you got from the Internet, since everyone could just out something wrong up.

That's what i was thinking. When i read a long story, bio or bit of information on the computer it messes with my eyes a bit. But with books you don't have such a problem. Unless you try reading in the dark.
