Default Fave books from your childhood

I was looking at the Chronicles of Narnia last week and my friends were discussing when they first read the series. We all realised that we first read the Narnia books in primary school (at 9 or 10 years old).

So my question is what were your fave books or series when you were a kid? i.e under 13?

MY fave books as a kid were
Narnia Chronicles esp. Lion, Witch andthe Wardrobe and Magician's Nephew
Famous Five
Secret Seven
Nancy Drew
Enid Blyton (I loved the Faraway Tree series, Wishing Chair series and the Amelia Jane series )
I also read a lot of comics - Legion of SuperHeroes and Batman ^^

What an interesting topic! I read such a variety of things when I was little; my parents got us one of those collections of books, and I read and read from them. I loved stories from mythology, Aesop's fables, and Fairy Tales, but I think the mythological stories were my favorites.

Sadly, I only encountered Narnia recently, but even now I will make my way through the books. They are wonderful.

When I was a little, little kid, my favorite book was Goodnight Moon. I also loved fairy tales.

Amazingly enoguh, I read teh hobbit in 6th grade for a class thing, and got so into it that I rad the lotr series in like three months. . . It's amazing because, tolkiens writting style is frickin impossible, I treid to read the lotr series again a couple of years ago and It was so hard to get through it and I was an english major in College!. . . .I also read about half of the silmarillion. . .but that book is his hardest of all to read.

I also was REALLY into the X-men comics, and comics in general. . .

Magneto is my #1 fave char. . .he just looks so COOL!
