Ichigo based on Cloud?

I've been looking at Ichigo's character design recently, and I've noticed that he's actually quite similar to Cloud from FF7...at least that's my opinion. I at least think Cloud was the inspiration for Ichigo's character design, after all, one look at the huge sword says it all . The yellowish hair, and their body builds are also similar. But anyway, what do you think?

ermm... may i know what is this anime FF7 about? i am sorry for asking this.. but then i think almost all the artist/author design the anime character gets inspiration from the others..

in terms of hair-style and color + the way he carrying big zanpakuto does resemble CLOUD... kinda heroic to me.

in my opinion cloud far more cooler than ichigo....plus cloud dont fight ghosts; he fight monsters and WEAPONs.

Lots of anime characters from different series look similar to each other. It doesn't necessarily mean that any one character is based on another.
