Something homemade, i got a diner cooked by my girl for my 18th birthday and that was all and more then i wished for^^

Y'know, that's a good point. Homemade is always nice if you have skills and aren't... er... financially endowed.

It makes it seem more special when it is the work of your hands.

Yup!!! I think he'll most likely appreciate that... As my additional suggestion, make it at least a romantic candle light dinner, or anything different from a usual dinner, but keep in mind that it should be just for the 2 of you alone to make it a totally memorable one, not just for him, but for the both of you!!!

I really hate gifts because then I feel like you owe someone. Make a nice dinner, be really nice to him, rent a movie that he wants to see. That is better than any birthday gift you can buy in a store.

Depends on what he may like. I know my Sweetie bought me a shirts, some Issey Miyake cologne, the new paris hilton cologne and took me out to eat later that night. She knows that I like cologne alot and when she took me to this restaurant in ATL just really took the cake, so try doing something that he would really enjoy and see where that goes.

I guess that th best is to give them something they'll use frequently or something related to what they like. For example, I gave a cd to my boyfriend for his b-day, one of his favorite band.

Though rarely, but there are also some guys who might rather consider gifts, but still I'd rather consider those that are personally created for me!!!

Yeah me too...A simple hand-made card will do it for me. I don't actually care what I get for my birthday.

But oddly, I get a little annoyed when people do get me something that eithr doesn't match my personality, or just something bought but cheap (mainly presents that look like they were bought without much thought put into it)...

Know it sounds rude and demanding but either buy a decent gift, or don't buy at all...lol
