The hardest thing often times can be the sacrifices you have to make in order to have a relationship. Whenever you have to compromise with someone else, which you do a lot in any relationship (not just romantic ones), there is something that isn't going your way. Sometimes it's difficult to take a forward looking stance on that. You may not get everything you want now, but down the road your relationship will be stronger. So it's all worth it.

I'd say staying together, especially if life drags you all over the place so that it's difficult to be in the same place at the same time. People seem to relate better to people closer to them.
