First impression of opposite genders
Hmmm...lets start another thread. How about we first tell your gender and the first thing(s) you notice about the oppiste gender. No need to be shy and at least be honest or else this is just pointless. I'll be honest from being a guy that while face and body are the physical first impressions...i'd like to see if a person is rather quiet or is talkative. Hopefully she doesn't just talk all about herself.

Re: First impression of opposite genders
same here. as a guy i go for the body and face for the physical. then i look for their personality. i like girls who are uplifting and talkative but not egotistical.

Re: First impression of opposite genders
For me.. these are the things I notice and take note of right away.. His hair, his frame, his expressions, the way he holds himself, the way he gestures, his eyes and the first thing that comes out of his mouth. But what always gets me the most is a guy who I can stay up all night long with just talking or not talking, but just "being".. That really gets me.

Agreed. Physical is the only trait u can notice from a distance without even knowing the person so you can already know how the person is like. However! Don't just the book by its cover (heh ), personnality is 2nd step. What I find important in a gal is that she has a good sense of humor, enjoys long conversations (not monlogues btw) and of course who likes to have to have fun!

Re: First impression of opposite genders
Same with me... I guess it's common for most guys to go for looks first. I go for looks then personality, if she's shy it's kind of cute... but not too shy, she has to try and make contact with me every now and then. Then things will start to elevate.

Re: First impression of opposite genders
I notice his size first. Like, how tall/short, big/small he is. Don't know why. I guess I try to determine their age based on that. I sometimes use facial features (i.e. facial hair?) to determine their age. I don't like sloppy people in general, so I prefer a clean appearance (but playing sports and getting messy that way is okay). Hmm... yeah, after that I look for some personality and interests. ('s about it for my first impression ^__________^)

I think most people look at physical features first. >.> Then you gotta see if they have a good personality.

Re: First impression of opposite genders
i think i like to talk to them... but the deciding factor is on looks is the hair... i like long straight hair and it has to fit the face... and then they have to like share some thoughts as me so its neat to have a nice personality.

Re: First impression of opposite genders
Heh, physically, I have strange tastes, I'm told. I like the girl-next-door look. I like girls who have large eyes and a really good smile with medium-length hair. I don't like skinny girls. I like a girl who doesn't look like she's never eaten a whole sandwich in her life. I also like girls who are natural: little to no makeup, natural skin (as in if you're naturally tan, your tan, if you're naturally pale, you're pale). I don't believe in falsifying your appearance to please other people. I'm also against surgery for vanity's sake (though I kinda feel bad since I may have to have surgery for my pecs in a couple years...), so if you're got implants, get away from me, lol. I also am not a big fan of large breasts. I tend to like the 32B - 34C range. Any bigger than a 36-C and it becomes unattractive for me.
Appearances aside, the most important thing for me is does she have similar yet varied interests and can we spend hours debating over the most random, stupid, or thoughtful stuff? I like a girl who is smart, breaks the mold, has a sharp wit and a random sense of humor. I like girls with originality and a rebellious streak, but who still know how to be responsible when they need to be.
I guess maybe my standards are high, but then again, most of the girls my friends are interested in, I really couldn't care less about.
