Cool about the carpooling.
And I like the thought of the gas your families will save, once you get your car. Since it will half the gas needs (as only one, not two trips, will be needed).
And just to make you feel better (about your new car), let's just say I had to put 4 figures into my 12 year old LaSabre this week. So please enjoy your much younger (and dependable) one.
BTW what is kiddyland?

Maybe I'll have to try that about the Japanese words. I already know the colors and numbers, so I'll maybe do body parts next.

*nods* For me I like to multitask, or more to the point, I like to multitask on things that work smoothly together. (like, for me, walking and relaxing, or walking and reading)
Or I just wrote out a list, and I used Japanese numbers instead of English ones. Tis fun.
Do you already know how to write the 10 Japanese numbers? (The kanji)

Well, sorry so short, but I've gotta run. I'm taking my little brother to KI today to ride rides. It seems like I never get away from there =P

*heh*
It's nice to have someone who is 'behind the scenes'.
With all these things going on, do you have time for much net activity? I remember you saying that you were still on some Forums, but have they all decreased as of late? (I know mine has)

Re: Ask Kate
Kiddyland is just what we call Nickelodeon Universe, or the children's ride area of the park. You know, rides for kiddies? =P
Yeah, I already know the kanji up through 99.
Eh, I haven't had too much time lately, but I still do some things. My Twilight forum is doing awesome still, currently we're at 1,570 members and 155,000 ish posts.

Oh *heh*
But it seems KI is bigger then I thought it was, if you actually have a sanctioned Nickelodeon site.
I should probably google it, to see how big it actually is.
Just for kicks, does the Nickelodeon area have anything with Avatar, the last airbender?

99?
I thought there was only 10 basic kanji, and the order is all that's needed for all numbers.
There are special kanji for 100, and larger numbers?? (I mean for all numbers, I know there are some basics like 10,000, etc)

Sort of figured.
Now are you starting to understand the 'adult' lament about there not being enough time in the day?
Have you reached a point where a few days, if not a few weeks, blitz by and you really didn't stop to notice?
And Twilight is the Vampire-ish book forum, right?
(plenty of questions in this post)

Re: Ask Kate
Yeah, King's Island actually does have an Avatar ride! It's really fun~
Kings Island | Nickelodeon Universe - Avatar: The Last Airbenderâ„¢
Description of the ride..
Here's a video of what it does:
YouTube - Avatar: The Last Airbender
And by the kanji to 100, I meant I understand the ordering ><
Yeah, I do understand about there not being enough time!
And yes, Bella Luna is for the vampire book, Twilight ^^
On Tuesday I leave to go to Virginia Beach, I'm so excited!
I'll still have net though, don't worry =)
Charles -- By downloader, what do you mean?

*blinks!*
Thanks for the pic and information!
I never would have understood it just from the description.
And the irony of Avatar is: I love it.
I'm a closet Avatar fan, even though its not anime.
Then again, I don't feel so bad, since all the rest of my anime group loves it too. And that includes the other 30-year-olds.
Have you ever watched any of it?
I know it's a little hard to get into, because it actually focuses on a storyline (thus if you don't watch from the beginning...)
But I cannot believe how much they jam-pack into a non-anime series. It's impressive.
....impressive enough to start getting rabid fangirls...ugh.
If curious, I'll hyperlink my proof of that.
*nodnods*
Thanks for sending, I watched all of it - and if it wasn't for the video, I wouldn't have understood what the ride did.
And even t hough it looks simple, and even though its for 'kids', I would NOT ride on that thing. That to me would be torture....being swung around while moving at a fast pace up inclines....ugh.
Roller Coasters...sure...but man.... Don't they have people losing their lunch on that thing?

Ah, rgr that.
Hmmm....er...there are more rules to the ordering, then whatever comes first?

*NODS!!!!*
Welcome to a facet of adulthood!
I remember the old days...where you would basically be...well, bored.
Not bored anymore, are you?
Now just imagine that more, and more, and more responsibility will be poured on you, add in more and more things you would like to do, add in more and more people wanted more and more from you...and....viola!, you're 42 years old, and your 14 year old child is going after you for why you don't treat them 'better' (their view)
Can you start to see why your parents were making mistakes back then?
Things, that if you stop and thought about them, the answers are 'easy'?
But they didn't have the time, did they?
Think you can avoid the trap?
Quote:

And yes, Bella Luna is for the vampire book, Twilight ^^

Ah, cool.

* heh* That's today!
That means you can give an update, I still remember how much you love the sea.
Have you already visited the beach?
======================
Complete sidenote:
I note you still use Me (Mei?) as your Avatar and sig.
The series Popotan is still a relatively unknown series...but then I just found out that it's where the Caramelldansen came from!
So...does this mean you pre-planned your Avatar's fame?
I mean look at this: 1.4 MILLION hits!
YouTube - Caramelldansen / U-U-U-Aua Dance
Let alone all the spin-offs of other characters doing the dance.
Link to more information about the dance and that it started with your character and her sister from Popotan.
Caramelldansen - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
===============================
Update edit:
It's July 9th, I believe you went to Virginia Beach.
Either:
a) The place didn't have the net.
b) You're having so much fun, you don't have much time.
I hope it's b.
Otherwise, hoped you had a great 4th, and you enjoyed going back to the beach.

Re: Ask Kate
Wow, sorry! The past two weeks have been a lot busier than I thought. I mean, I had internet, but I just felt kind of rude to be sitting around returning messages, instead of interacting with her, so I kind of just pushed all of my internet responses back. But things are more or less normal now =)
I've watched a few episodes of Avatar, but not enough to really know what's going on that well. I think I might enjoy it more if I started from the beginning, like you said.
I've worked in the area of Avatar, but never on it specifically, so I have no idea about their puke rate, haha! Their area is known as "South Pie" because it's in the Southern section of Nickelodeon Universe (the children's area), which is divided like a pie. Clever, no? *sarcasm*
Anyways.. they have four rides.. Avatar, a Dora the Explorer train, a circular Go Diego Go car ride, and another small Dora themed ride called Swiper's Sweepers. I'm trained on the train and Diego only. But The Crypt is down, so I might be spending more time there in the next few days, haha. I'll ask.
Well, the ordering, I meant like, when you get to say... the twenties, like 24, it's written.. two-ten-four... kind of like two tens + four, right? Which is different than say Spanish, where there is a word for twenty, not two tens.
Yeah, I'm definitely not bored now! Money update, I've got $1,200 in the bank, hope to have $1,500 by the end of this month, at least $2,000 by the end of next month, maybe even $2,500. As summer comes to a close, more people quit for school, but I don't plan to, so they say I will get a LOT more hours.
I didn't actually get to go to the beach when I was there. Her grandparents were in town, so we didn't do much of anything actually =/
It was kind of disappointing.
But when she was here, we went to King's Island, and the zoo, and Barnes and Noble (we love that place!) and a few other places, so that was fun.
I think her name is Mii, at least from the subtitles I got, haha! I really hadn't heard of that song before o.O

Just glad to know you are safe, and had a good time.
BTW, what is the antecedent to your pronoun?
(aka: who is the 'her' you are referring to?)

I think you will.
BTW, the series is ending _this_ week. They are actually marathoning the episodes, and the last 4 will be this Saturday.

So, you never had to measure the hurl, eh?
Ok...that theme is going in the wrong way.
I just know my digestive system would not agree with that ride.
(Let alone looking straight up into Aang's...er...nevermind....)
Pie......mmmm!...hungry!
Is there a 'South Cake' as well?
.....hopefully frosted.

*salutes*
And remember: If you see Spongebob Squarepants - SHOOT ON SITE!!!
(the actual sad thing is, even though I like Avatar, I know those other characters (Dora, Diego) even though I've never watched them)

That's the way I believe it is.
But I've been told there is another way as well. I just don't know it.

For better or for worse.
...though how you are describing it, it sounds like: for the better.
Apparently your friends are more sane now (or you just do not talk about it here)

once again:
CONGRATULATIONS!!!
All of that sounds great!
And I'm glad you still have the gumption of wanting to work more hours, when others go the other way.
Now of course I have to ask:
How are your feet doing?
Or is it simply that you are in better shape then I was at your age?
Or they just make shoes better?
I know your parents are probably stressed incredibly due to your younger siblings, but if/when they actually give you a pat-on-the back for your work....let me know, OK?
Oh yeah, this reminds me: What is your license status at this time? I can't remember if you are driving yourself to work these days.

Almost anachronistic.
But it does sound like you were having fun.

*nods* It's definitely Mii. I had just forgotten when I wrote that.
And I didn't hear of the song either, but then it was popping up all over the place, including at Conventions. But more then the song (which is actually 5+ years old) it's that crazy dance that they do!
And it was all started by Popotan, which directly featured your Avatar.
And viola! We have come back full circle and are talking about 'Avatar' again.

Re: Ask Kate
Ah-ha!
I found this article:
Teacher lasts 20 hours on carnival ride, wins $1K - Yahoo! News
Which a teacher won a contest by staying on that Avatar ride for 20+hours!
I believe that the ride they describe is probably the same ride you put up a picture for.
70 feet up?
43 mph at times?
ouch!
Other then my previous post above, I hope everything is going well.

Re: Ask Kate
The 'her' referred to my friend Frances, or Kitty. I went to her house in Virginia Beach to stay, and then she came back here to visit for a week as well =)
Haha, there are tons of Spongebob things at King's Island, but I love him =P
My feet are doing pretty well =D
I get tired, but not really pained.
Also, I have my license now as of June 24th. So I drive myself to work sometimes, but sometimes my mom takes me also, because then I won't have to use and then pay for the gas xD
I loooove books. I always have, haha.
And I could've won that contest! I love Avatar, and I never get sick on it. We had someone ride our ride for like 7 straight hours before, it was crazy because two times is enough to make me queasy!
