We got to do loads of things. See a movie, go out to eat, play lazer tag, play video games with my little brother, etc. It was really fun ^^
|
Oh? Which type of movie do you both agree too?
I remember being dragged to watch certain horror movies (not a horror fan here!), but I always enjoyed the comedies we got to see.
And you _both_ play lazer tag!
...now I'm really jealous.

Hmmm.
Better then my 6. But still.....2.5 hours does take a lot out of you.

Wow, 3 months would be hard. It's so much harder being apart now that I've met him. Early on, before we even met, it wasn't that big of a deal. But everytime we're together, it's harder to say goodbye.
|
It was.
Even worse, back in the 90's, there was no 'free' LD. We had to pay for every minute (and we made up a lot of time over the phone). I still remember the days when I thought .10 cents per minute was awesome. Nowadays, you can call Japan at that rate.
And yeah..being apart really sucked. (and still would).
Though what did you mean 'before we even met'? You mean when you only knew him online?
And goodbyes suck.
There...I said it frankly.
And although its bittersweet, I can at least say this: You will get to see him again.
....try to tap into that, if you can.
To at least dull the pain.

Re: Ask Kate
And, focus on the fact that you can actually meet him. What if you never could? That should help

Yuuji -
We saw a comedy. But I like a lot of movies: horror, comedy, romance, drama etc, so we never really have a problem.
And yeah. We both really like playing, it's a lot of fun. Josh is AMAZING he was third out of both teams combined. I sucked badly, but had fun, so it was all good. I also beat him in the arcade version of Mario Kart, so that helped xD
Yes, I meant before we met in person, when it was just online.

Cool.
1) I guess I didn't 'allude' enough - but what movie was it?
2) Do you guys get to share anything Japanese-y? Like watching anime, or eating Pocky?

Oh! You meant at an arena???
I haven't played one of those in over 10 years?
What are they like nowadays?
Can you still see the beams?
How much does it cost to play?
For myself, not only do I have 8 guns of the newer system (not much used), but the original Laser Tag from the 80's (very much used). Not sure if the old guns work anymore though.

Ah, memories.
BTW, I almost forgot.
Since you met each other online, I hightly suggest trying to go back and find the first words you ever said to each other.
And the date.
I always liked the fact that I logged my first conversation with my wife. Thus, unlike other guys, I can always remember the first 'time' I met her. And the first words she said to me: Heyla and Welcome!
(its a greeting from a book)

We saw Norbit, there's not really much out. It got terrible reviews, but I didn't think it was that bad. Well... we ate a ton of asian food, but nothing besides that, lol. They're pretty cool now. The one we went to has three levels and it's dark with lots of obstacles to dodge around and hide in. Yeah, you can see the lazers when you shoot. It was 8 dollars per person for one round, no tax. Yeah, we have logs of our first conversation, I take a look at them every now and then ^^

I did that... it was so much fun! If you didn't know, I met my girlfriend over mediwar/quarrel. It was quarrel that I messaged her on though. Good times...

Re: Ask Kate
Got a couple of questions for Kate & Yuuji:
Kate:
- Do you think magic is real? Not the things seen in TV like the floating guy and the cards, I mean real magic? What would it be like if you think it does?
Yuuji:
- Never got a reply from you regarding the signature I made, just wanted to ask, what do you think of it?
- Mind me if it sounds rude, but how old are you?
- I assume you're already in college, so what's your major?

Cool.
I haven't seen a movie since 'Snakes on a Plane'. And that was only because Genshiken went to see it as a group (thank god we did, only with them could I have enjoyed that movie). But this weekend I hope to see the movie about some ancestors of mine: 300.
Even more fun is that I plan to see it with my Physics Prof. (who's now my friend)

I _so_ miss the days when I could eat anything I wanted!
I swear the worst commercial in the world is the one for Chips Ahoy with double chocolate chunks in it. I so remember when I could devour a bag and get away with it.
Let alone a lot of good Asian food!

Just.......sweet.
.....where were they when I was young!?!?!?

*just smiles*
Now for a question....hmmm.....
Oh yeah...
Have you gotten a chance to see any of the new Shuffle yet?
Because when I watched the first 4, they only seem to be recap episodes about each character. With maybe 3-5 minutes of new animation.

1) Still a bit stunned by it. Just caught in a conundrum. *where to begin?*. First, I'm busier then $%^%%^ right now, before Spring Break. And even over Spring Break, I'll be busy, then its a rush towards graduation, then its employment or grad school. And more major life changes. So time is short.
Second, you just happened to be the second person to see me a sig. He was supposed to alter it somewhat, but has never gotten around to it. So I've been waiting. As you see, I have never had a sig, nor an avatar yet. And there is always inertia to overcome with something new.
Third - actually, I'm only beginning to like Death Note. This is because of the amazing new storytelling the creator has produced. I actually _detested_ Death Note due to the fact that they were lionizing a murderer (can anyone say 'Natural Born Killers' or 'Hannibal Lector'?) and I would walk out of Genshiken whenever it came on. Yet **spoiler warning** after the 'mindwipe' it looks like it can be an excellent philosophical format concerning the many viewpoints of the corruption of power, nature vs nurture, and a plethora of other human condition mindsets. I haven't come to a final conclusion yet. But at the very least I love the fact that I _don't_ know what the author is trying to do. But unlike the X-files, he stories seem a lot more solid (within the genre)
...just to mention: Yeah, my favorite character in Death Note would be 'L', followed by Ryuk himself (his behavior overshadows his comical look). Although I fear awaiting the 'other shoe to drop' for both characters.
2) I'll PM my answer to that question to you. Although...sheesh...my inbox is full, and i need to empty it. (more work!?!?!) And I have to copy/paste most of it, since I wish to have a record of most of my PM.
Just to make Kate laugh, most of them are our early PM's from half+ of a year ago.
3) Yep. Should graduate in 2 months. Field: Cognitive Science and Applied Behavior Analysis. College (Degree): Psychology.
Although if I am lucky enough to be offered a position in a Clinical Psych. program, I'll be more then happy to join.
*Groan*
Worst to worst. I've delayed answering your last question to me on your own Thread Natsume, because I actually wrote it twice, and twice I was called away from the computer and the computer logged me off (its a new feature this semester) So I lost over 40 minutes of work.
Now after 30 minutes of typing, a Professor just moved his class that was in my room because of the 'noise' from those of us on the computers. I hate it when your worst fears are realized, especially after you spend all of one's time working hard.
I have to be more careful (aka: truncated) when using this room. But its hard enough to find the time to finally respond.

Re: Ask Kate
Ah, apologies. I thought you had disabled "Recieve Private Messeges from members".
You do seem like you have a lot of things to do, good luck with everything
About the age, feel free to send the pm whenever you please.

Re: Ask Kate
Hey Kate, what's the biggest thing that you ever regretted in the past year or so? Also what did you do that you consider to be absolutely immature of all?
