The ending is really, really philosophically, you have to think about it,i have to say i don't really understand it without few minutes of thinking, like 10080 minutes

But it's one of my favourites anime

yea i know. i had first watched the series at night around 12 am before i got them on DVD. i actually found my self wakeing up understanding it better like i pondered it in my head all night long. kinda weird.

I think its a great anime and it deserve to be watched.

Well, many people would just kill me, but if you ask me: it not so great!
Its an ordinary story about teenagers on big robots who saving the world. Main hero is wimp and cry-baby, daddy boy. its really discasting that such weekling have to decide fate of the humanity. All those talks about philosophy and etc. is just a commercial. All i see in NGE is bunch of people, with serios mental problem. Instead of fighting angels, they`d better go to doctor.

its a hit or miss anime. you either love it or hate it. i notice most people that i know seem to dislike it cause of the psychological themes to it. they prefer animes that you just watch and the most you have to discuss it your favorite pairing of the anime.
