Story: Set in modern-day Italy, revolves around a corporation called the Social Welfare Agency (SWA), sponsored by the Italian government. Publicly, the mission of the SWA is to save and rehabilitate human lives, but it's actually part of the Political Warfare Section.
The Political Warfare Section, a division of the Italian government, responsible for counter-intelligence, counter-terrorism and experimentation designed to create the perfect assassin through the use of young female cyborgs.
Review:
Animation: I thought the animation was top notch for 2003 and still pretty good today. I was especially impressed with the level of detail in the different guns.
Sound: I felt that the music selection throughout the anime was great, the music always fit the mood. Throughout the anime different caliber weapons were used and I could actually tell the different!!!! I was impressed.
Story: There isn't really isn't one single "story" for this anime. It's more broken down into parts (mini stories) for each girl to develop character and these "mini stories" inter-twine with wach other. So throughout the anime you see different girls and how they evolved and why they did. I personally didn't mind this type of story telling. The ending is left open for the viewer to use his/her imagination on what happens next.
Overall: If your looking for an all action packed anime this isn't for you. It is comparable to Ghost in the Shell series as in there is action but lots of dialog or plot (but the plot isn't as indepth as Ghost in the Shell). The only reason that I didn't give it a 10/10 is that there were a couple parts that dragged on.
