I like Macross series. I had robotech but didn't see it. Also, I watched Macross zero it was really cool anime with a rather sad end. I saw Macross 7 the movie and it was cool. The main idea behind this anime is cool too. I haven't seen macross 7 the series but I intend to.

Thank goodness you did not see Robotech. Pls stay away. Robotech is not Macross. And Macross is so much more than Robotech. Robotech is just sacrilege so IMHO no self-respecting anime fans would give the series the kind of attention its been receving all these years.

Macross will always have a special place in my heart cos it was one of those series that got me hooked on anime in the first place. And it would take a hellva series to dislodge the series from my heart.
