Things that make an anime worth watching

It should always have interesting characters, not just characters who serve as just eye candies, or characetrs just for the comic relief. I mean characters with depth.

I quite like Anime that have:
- Great Storyline - especially unexpected twists
- Humour - this is key, even in serious animes
- Scenes that don't drag on for too long i.e. fight scenes
- Great character development
- Animes that sends out a good message i.e. friendship, etc.

I don't think that a good opening is a must. Although when the opening is good it encourages you to watch the series but there are also the series which openings I really dislike but love the series itself (Bleach, for instance)

For me things that make Anime worth watching are: good plot, well drown characters, cute opening and ending, much humour. However I watched many tv series which well well drown and had cute openings/endings but weren't interesting at all...
