Anime DVD getting to expensive

the price of a DVD for 4 episodes around $30 - 40 whats with that its so stupiid

America is getting it good, their prices are dirt cheap while Japan is expensive like hell and has fewer episodes per DVD!

hmm i agree, to a point, my anime shop is quoting me $115(a little les than $2 an ep) for all of Full Metal Alchemist (51eps) in jap with subtitles, where as if i were 2 wait 4 engilsh (bloody funimation and there 3 month releases!) that'd b like 3 years or sumting, and then that'd cost like $350+!!!! the jap DVDs are actually cheap :P

i found zoids DVDs for $10($2.50 an ep ) and there are some specials at my anime store,

i think funimation are just uping the price, coz they can, i loved getting DBZ but at $20-$25 4 3 eps, and $25-$30 for 4 it like $7 an episode.

every1 would buy them if they were cheaper instead of downloading...EVEN ME!

i won't go philosophical, but they should b cheaper :P

im off 2 wacth some random anime, and sleep! pancakes in the morning!

I agree, $7 an ep is stupid I would purcahse it too if it was $1-2.50 an ep..

That's usually why I buy DVDs off the net, 24DVD(120 episodes of One Piece) for US60$, seems like a good price to me. Also, I am too lazy to go out and buy the anime when I can have delivered to my door. Even if there is a delay of 2-3 weeks, I can live with that as I already saw the anime most of the time.

yeah i get mine from that next day anime got probably like 70-80 eps of inuyasha the whole series to cowboy bebob and some escaflowne for say 80 dollars.

Anime is far too expensive to buy - especially the box sets - even if they're on special, I still think that fansubs are better- sometimes even better quality!! I wish I could buy anime though..maybe if I get rich....

A 100 minute hollywood movie dvd cost about about $20. Its a big unfair for a 100 minute TV animated dvd to cost $30.

i just buy anime from stores in chinatown, there cheap and quality is good too, i think 6 dvds for $20, unless you want dub stuff, then you're stuck buying american dvd or waiting until someone uploads on net, which can't take too long
