The Urotsukidoji stuff was some of the first anime I ever saw, and almost turned me off anime for good right away. I'm fine with how offensive they are, they're just not very good.

hmmm...i am really picky about anime usually and read reviews before i watch them...but at the top of my head...i would say ...Shaman King....it's not the worse but it is the most recent to mind...it had the characters but lacked the oompf and depth...people may disagree...=P...for a really good super-power anime...hunter x hunter, that will always be a benchmark for me!

Pokemon
Digimon
Animes which involve card games
Animes which advertise KID's products (e.g. Beyblade)
Poorly drawn anime characters
- - -
Other than that, I watch animes and will eventually grow to like them.

Regardless of the quality of the original, anything dubbed into English for American children (especially 4Kids' hackjobs) is just awful. How so many became fnime fans after having that kind of first exposure is beyond me...
