OVA means it's a original animated anime, in other words, it hasn't been shown before. These two School Rumble OVA's shows episodes that happened inbetween the series. You notice the time difference the "scetches". Just look at Harimas hair

Im really looking forward to watching this OVA, although i still havent seen eps 24-26 yet,but they did only just release the fansub for episode 26 a month or so ago. This is one of the best series that have been out recently, i really think it mixes the love and comedy elements well.

School rumble is amazing! Its one of the first few complete series i've watched and the one series that got me hooked on anime. All hail school rumble!

also OVA's are sometimes used to extend or reveal a part of the story. like the samuari X ova's tell kenshins past as the batotsai(sp?).

School Rumble is a high school romance/comedy in which the main character Tenma Tsukamoto is trying to get the guy she likes Karasuma Ooji to notice her. The high school delinquent Harima Kenji is in love with Tenma so he tries to get her to notice him. And various plots, crazy schemes, and rather funny moments ensue.
