I have to admit this that the anime really BLOODY rocks,
I mean damn, already the intro of the 1st episode is really damn good
but still, is this anime the sequel or the prequel for the movie Blood The Last Vampire. Technically, those creatures called chyrop..whatever there were that Saya's been hunting down don't seem to have the characterics of vampires. There were more like some beast creature feeding on human's red blood but not 'vampiry'. Anywhere still I got a little confused when I watched the 1st episode, Saya was hunting down or even slashing those cry...a.k.a vampire..and killed the villagers and the soldiers too in Vietnam, well that's something out of the ordinary..also the personality of Saya in the anime series was a little different compared to the movie Blood The Last Vampire. That agent guy is still there, David who's also from the movie as well. Well, actually I'm a little confused with the characters in this anime, anybody mind explaining me the real story od Blood+?

im sorry i dont know answer either but i was wondering about the same thing. Those vampires REALLY look like the ones in the Blood the Last Vampire and the sword

they jsut seem really alike even the titles so probally one of those ....

The series can be considered a prequel to the movie.

I always think of it as a sequel, since I believe it says in the first episode that she has no recollections of any memories from the past year, and maybe the incidents in the movie were 2 years ago. Although, it's neither pegged as a sequel or a prequel from what I hear; it's just plain related. =/

good thought, i thought of it as a prequel but ur comment got me thinking

It was only from what I've heard. =/

IMO it could go either way, so I'm kinda puzzled. So could you elaborate on how it is a prequel??

hmm.. no, and no.. many consider this as the prequel, but an officiel report
of Blood+ makers.. says, that it's not either of them..
